Microchrome Technology, Inc. was formed in 1985 for the purpose of providing materials and products to the Microphotolithography Industry.

This industry encompasses all aspects of creating small microscopic images or manufactured parts using a high contrast imaging technology. Generally speaking, narrow bands of wavelengths of light are used to expose the photosensitive materials used to micro-image the resulting product; thus comes the name MICRO for microscopic imaging and CHROME for the colors of light used in individual processes.

MTI has ventured into substrate materials for use in precision optics, displays, micro-electronics, micro-machined and medical products.

MTI is constantly researching new products to maximize high-resolution materials and processes. As some materials are discontinued in the industry we are finding replacement items that many times exceed the qualities of the original products.
